Discipline and Behaviour

High expectations of behaviour lie at the heart of everything we do.

If behaviour is not good then teachers can't teach and children can't learn. We have an extremely clear behaviour plan, understood by all adults and pupils. We have also written a behaviour code to which every person must adhere whilst in our school. We emphasise seemingly' old fashioned' values of good manners and consideration for others, expecting politeness at all times from everyone in the school community.

Pupils receive rewards and praise for good behaviour and a clear series of sanctions for those who break our code. If a child persists in unacceptable behaviour of any kind we make contact with the parents as soon as possible so that we may tackle the problem together. A copy of the school's behaviour policy is available in the school office.
