EYFS Remote Learning W/B 22nd February 2021

Week Beginning 22nd February 2021

We hope everyone has had an opportunity to relax over half term. We have been looking through all of the remote learning books that were returned to school and have been very impressed by everyone's efforts and enthusiasm for the home learning activities. Well done, Foundation Stage! Books can still be dropped off at the office this week and a new one collected.

This week you have a maths, a phonics and a literacy activity to complete each day, there are links to teaching videos for all three subjects in the planning below. Our maths is all about division - sharing a whole into equal groups. We are sure everyone will do a great job of this after seeing your work on halving. Our literacy and our themed challenges are linked to the book George Saves the World by Lunchtime by Jo Readman. We are going to be thinking about the different ways that we can look after our Earth. You might find that some of the activities and resources on the learning challenges menu help you with ideas for Wednesday's literacy activity.

Remember...
You can watch whole school assemblies from Miss Bassett and Mr Henson here.
You can listen to the Foundation Stage adults read a story on the Story Time page. You could watch one when you have a snack, just like we do at school!

Parents and Carers, please remember to upload at least one maths, phonics or literacy observation to Tapestry each week. If you have any  questions about the learning or you need support with the resources, contact us at foundation@elystjohns.cambs.sch.uk or leave a message on Tapestry.
