EYFS Summer Term Remote Learning Page

Summer Term Remote Learning

If your household is isolating due to Covid-19, please support your child to join in with the Foundation Stage remote learning activities below. Please complete a phonics, maths and themed challenge activity every day that your child is off school and upload a photograph to Tapestry so that class teachers can offer feedback and support.  Each activity is likely to last around 10 minutes - little and often is best at this age! Remember to read everyday too. Your child will have their reading book from school and other resources can be found on these websites:

Oxford Owl (search for books that match the colour level of your child's book from school): https://www.oxfordowl.co.uk/for-home/find-a-book/library-page/

You can also listen to the Foundation Stage adults read a story on the Story Time page. You could watch one when you have a snack, just like we do at school!

If your child will be off school for an extended length of time following a positive test result within the household, we will contact you to share further learning activities.

Phonics
We are now recapping the digraphs and trigraphs taught throughout the year and using them in reading and writing. Below you will find a variety of activities that can be completed to practise these skills at home, try to do one for each day that your child is away from school. If you choose to use the 'Quick Activities' resource, we suggest doing 2 slides a day.

Worksheets do not need to be printed, you can record on paper and send it into school when your child returns or upload a photo to Tapestry. You can also use the Phonics Play link above to find more phonics activities. If there are sounds that you know your child finds particularly tricky, focus on these by watching Mr Meek's phonics videos from the Spring term. Links to all of the phonics videos can be found in the document below.

Maths
This term we are using our knowledge of number bonds to solve addition and subtraction problems. Click on the plan below to find the activities and resources you will need to join in with our learning.
