Spring Term 2021
Back to School
Have a look at the pictures below to remind yourself what the classrooms and courtyard looks like!
We look forward to seeing you on Monday 8th March.
Look through the gallery to see some super examples of labelling! We were very impressed by the knowledge of phonics and letter formation displayed. Well done, Foundation Stage.
Autumn Term 2020
Children in Need
Foundation Stage enjoyed taking part in the school's Children in Need activities and it was lovely to see everyone dressed in their favourite colours. Both classes watched the duck race, cheering on their ducks, and some of the children chose to stage their  own duck races in the water trays afterwards! Throughout the day, the children were able to make their own Pudsey bears from card and playdough, count spots for Pudsey's bandana and read the words hidden on Pudsey's colourful spots. Thank you for supporting our fundraising.
Remembrance Day 2020
After a class discussion about poppies and why they are worn at this time of year, many of the children chose to make their own poppy art from loose parts. We were very impressed by the children's thoughtfulness during our discussions. We watched the Cbeebies poppy film as our 2 minute remembrance.
Pumpkin Art
Foundation Stage have been exploring pumpkins as part of our Autumn learning. As part of this, we have looked at the artwork of Yayoi Kusama. Yayoi Kusama is an Japanese artist whose famous works include many sculptures and paintings of pumpkins. We found out that that she likes to work with pumpkins because they remind her of visiting pumpkin fields with her grandad when she was a little girl. Yayoi Kusama is sometimes called the 'princess of polka dots' because she uses them to decorate her art work.
Foundation Stage created their own vegetable art in this style. Take a look at the photo gallery to see some of their amazing pieces!
The Stage
A new addition to our outdoor provision this year is a stage. The children were very excited and keen to explore once it was built and in position. We have already seen some amazing singing, acting and dancing!
