Half-Time Sports Report

10th February 2017
We're halfway through the year, and we've enjoyed plenty of School Games sports activity across all the classes. As well as all of our exciting work in PE, we enjoyed dancing with the STOMP teacher, and KS1 children enjoyed working with a multi-sports coach. After half term we'll be visited by Mark Deas, who will teach cricket in Y6.
Competitive sport has also played a massive part in school life. In addition to the tag rugby and cross-country festivals outside school, plenty of classes have also taken part in intra school competitions inside school. For example, Y5 have competed in Lindy Hop dancing, rugby and hockey. There will be plenty more festivals in the second half of the year, plus the Y5/6 football league.
We also pride ourselves on offering a huge amount of sport during lunchtimes. Mr Poli's PALs leaders offer a range of outdoor activities, whilst Mr Lowery and Mr Mackender run sports clubs.
If you're interested in trying a new sport, have a look at the sports section of the website for links to local clubs.
