Personal Challenge

Personal challenge is a huge part of our PE lessons at ESJ. In other words, it doesn't matter who you are, you can always try your best to make improvements to your own performance. Sometimes, those improvements can be measurable, or part of an intra-school competition.
An example of this was a skipping challenge lesson with Mrs Geeson's class. The children had a short practice then counted how many skips they could do in 30 seconds. After further instruction and practice they tried to beat their scores. The children were focused throughout, showed excellent progress, and ended up very hot and out of breath! After the lesson we celebrated the best skippers, and also those who had made the most progress.
The children are all looking forward to beating their scores later in the year . . .
