World Book Day 2021

World Book Day 2021
Thursday 4th March
World Book Day is being celebrated virtually this year!
Take some time to read a book or share a story during the day. You could challenge yourself to become a Reading Star by completing the challenge checklist below. If you do, bring your completed checklist into school and we will swap it for a certificate. You can do this anytime before Easter! Some classes may have an extra World Book Day activity on their year group page so look out for these.
To help us to celebrate World Book Day 2021, the authors of this year's £1 books have put together three Share a Story Live events for everyone to join in with throughout the week. Try to join in with one that interests you.
Wednesday 3rd March, 10:30am: Books That Make You LOL!
Starring Humza Arshad, Alex Bellos & Ben Lyttleton (Football School), Jonny Duddle and Zanib Mian.
Thursday 4th March, 10:30am: Bringing Reading to Life.
Starring: Joseph Coelho & Fiona Lumbers, Tom Fletcher and Lydia Monks and special guest Rob Biddulph.
Friday 5th March, 10:30am: Books and the Real World
Starring: Sita Brahmachari, Jess French and Katherine Rundell
You could also enter the competition to design a National Book Token. You can find more information here and the entry form is below.
Click on the links below to explore other World Book Day activities. We are looking forward to hearing about all the stories you have read and shared during lockdown.
