Year 5-6 Skipping Day

20th March 2019
Last week Year 5 and 6 enjoyed a Skipping Day!
A specialist coach came to school to help children master different skipping techniques. The day began with a warm up to music, before starting with some individual skipping. The children did a great job of learning new jumps, including the 'double' and 'scissor'. Things got trickier as partners were introduced! Finally, the children were challenged to work as a group using a 'long rope', they jumped in and out as the rope continued to swing!

Year 5 and 6 shared their new skills with the rest of the school in today's talent assembly. We have all been inspired to give skipping a go!
