Welcome to Ely St John’s Governing Body page.

We are fortunate to have a mix of parent, co-opted and local authority governors on our governing body. Our members bring a wide range of skills and experience, which is vital to the strategic decision-making required to run a thriving, popular school such as Ely St John’s.

We are always eager to expand our governing body’s knowledge and skill sets. If you are interested in joining us, please contact the school office.

As governors, we play an important role in Ely St John’s leadership and management by providing both support and challenge to its leaders. This includes overseeing statutory obligations, approving strategic changes, monitoring children's progress and conducting more general visits to observe the school in action.

In addition to the full governing body, which meets at least once per half term, two committees, Standards and Resources, provide more detailed support and scrutiny.
