Latest Report

We are very pleased with the result of our latest Ofsted Report – good in all areas and an outstanding judgement for our work in keeping pupils safe and secure.

This outcome is due to the hard work and commitment of the whole community – children, parents, staff, governors and Friends of Ely St John's. It is that continued sense of community and having the children and their learning at the heart of what we do, that has enabled us to meet the rigorous requirements needed to be a good school while retaining that sense of enjoyment and the rich varied curriculum that is so important.

We have two areas to focus on moving forwards, to help us to reach an outstanding judgement next time and these will drive our Single Plan for further improvement. They are actions which require us to refine and improve upon the already good practice we have in both the areas in order to improve provision even further.

Please do get in touch with us if you wish to discuss any aspect of the report with us.

Yours Sincerely,

Liz Bassett and James Thomson
The Headteacher and Governing Body of Ely St John's Primary School.
