Staying Safe Online

Internet Safety and Safeguarding

We are all committed to ensuring that our children stay safe in both the real and virtual worlds. Below you will find a range of resources to help you and your child.  If you have any concerns please speak with staff at school.

The Child Exploitation and Online Protection (CEOP) Centre is dedicated to eradicating the sexual abuse of children. CEOP works with organisations such as the NSPCC, experts from government and corporations such as Microsoft, offering specialist advice and guidance.  CEOP is part of UK policing and is very much about protecting children by tracking and bringing offenders to account.

CEOP has an excellent website – Thinkuknow – which offers advice to children and parents about safe use of the internet; it also has games which get internet safety messages across in a fun way.

If you or you child has concerns about misuse of the internet which may harm children, you can click on the ‘Click CEOP – Internet Safety’ button on the CEOP website.

Childnet International also has useful safety information for parents and children.
