'Spirit of the Games' on display at Rounders!

12th July 2019

On Friday the 12th July, 27 year 6 children traveled to Littleport College to take part in the final sport event of the school year.

The children were split into two teams, one playing Rounders the other Triangle Cricket. The Rounders team played 3 different games, Scatterball, Load the Bases and Traditional Rounders with the aim being to have fun in a non-competitive environment. The Cricketers played 5 quick fire games each lasting 14 minutes against other local schools.

All of the children had great fun and learnt some new skills along the way. Although it was a non-competitive event, schools were asked to score one another on how well they embodied the 'Spirit of the Games':

Determination, passion, honesty, teamwork, self-belief and respect.

A huge well done to the ESJ team who came second in the School Values rankings that day. What a credit to the school!
